In-house Training
In-house training is a method that is often used by small to large companies to improve the performance of employees in a company.
Although it is the same, there are several reasons why in-house training is a more appropriate choice than seminars or workshops. Not that seminars or workshops are worse than in-house training, but there are clear differences between the two. Let’s discuss it.
Material
The material that will be delivered in in-house training can be modified according to the needs of the company. The curriculum can be arranged to focus more on the learning needed by the employee at that time, and or through things that do not apply to your company.
As a business owner, you can also ask to insert some important information in the training process, such as an explanation of your company’s culture.
Secrecy
Seminars and workshops are usually open to the public, everyone may join them, means that employees from any company may register.
Usually there will be a question and answer session or practice (exercise) that is designed so that participants can understand more about the material presented. Sometimes participants can use the company where they work as a case study.
Try to imagine what would happen if your competitor’s employees were also in the seminar or workshop?
There are still some other differences between in-house training and seminars or workshops, but the two above are the most distinguishing between the two.
